“Perhaps. It’s a persistent cough.”
Shinazugawa grunted, “No shit. It sounded like you were vomiting your lungs out at the meeting.”
“Allergies,” Tomioka offered.
“Allergies that have gone on for over a month? And gotten progressively worse?” Sanemi asked, and Giyu could tell the Wind Pillar was looking at him now, watching him. He should’ve known Shinobu would spill.
He sighed. “Look, it’s nothing.”
“No, it’s not. Your performance today was terrible, especially as we got into the late afternoon. It’s affecting your fighting.”
“Maybe I’m out of practice.”
Sanemi seemed to take a step forward, “Cut the shit, Tomioka. What’s going on with you?”
