Summary
An amazing plot with a fleshed protagonist, a sympathetic antagonist, a heartbreaking love story, and beautifully planned scheme all interlaced into one novel--what could you hate about it? What could you possibly dislike about The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation?!...That was how Meng Yao's manager felt. And he could agree--he couldn't not agree because it was true. But there were...some things that he would have done differently. Like, maybe, no one had to die? Maybe, at least, aside from the two protagonists, everyone else could have an okay ending? Maybe--just maybe--the side characters wouldn't all be miserable with their lives or were dead? Just a few suggestions.
Meng Yao never thought that these "few suggestions" would cause him to be transported into the novel world of The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation . But that was fine, he'd just make the most of it. He could call it a vacation, but...but how come he was trapped in the body of the notorious villain?

Huaisang is, admittedly, absolutely terrified of what his Da-Ge’s reaction will be when he not only realises Huaisang ran away from Qinghe to the indoctrination, but when he receives word that the Wen deliberately left him to be eaten by the Tortoise Of Slaughter.
He’s even more scared of surviving and having to face his Da-Ge’s wrath for scaring him so terribly.

Nie Huaisang and Jiang Wanyin Being trapped in the Xuánwû of Slaughter’s cave, together.

Summary
Lan Wangji dies after the thirty-third strike. Lan Xichen does not handle it well.

May I offer you a little excerpt:
Tracing back his steps, all his life, every decision he’s ever made, every bruise and every cut – it leads back to his father. Jin Guangyao has regret nestled where silent calculation used to sit. He’s not surprised to still feel the cold prickle of acrimony right next to it.
A kick to the chest and Jin Guangyao had promised to ascend those stairs in bright Jin Gold and rise to meet his father on equal footing. Now he’s dressed in Lan Blue and no chance to fulfill that promise.
He makes a new one then, staring into the flames. He swears it on the memory of Nie Mingjue’s lips against his skin and Lan Xichen’s cold silver eyes. He’s made of regret instead of Jin Gold now and he will not cower down in fear. He will make his father pay for it.
