When sunflowers stare at him unblinkingly, it feels taunting. When Sakusa does it, it makes Atsumu feel like their five centimeters height difference is, in fact, much larger. “Probably since around the time you joined the Jackals,” Sakusa says, unblinking.
Atsumu’s heart cartwheels like Sakusa is actually trying to say something else. His mouth, however, can only come up with, “Four years? Damn, that’s a long time to be pining.”
Osamu kept telling Atsumu gymnastics weren't easy when they were playing on the monkey bars as kids. Really, Atsumu should've listened.

Of all the things Atsumu expected Kiyoomi to say to him, “Why are you single?” was the very last on his list, just below “Your mom seemed nice at dinner earlier” and “Why’d you ask me to come out here with you?”. Because Kiyoomi’s always been too blunt for his own good, but Atsumu never thought Kiyoomi would ask about something so personal. Quite frankly, he didn’t think Kiyoomi even cared. And, their less-than-honest relationship certainly didn’t require questions like that to be answered.

The thing about Miya Atsumu is that Kiyoomi is fully and entirely obsessed with him. Every time Atsumu sticks his tongue out like a dog, which is quite a lot, Kiyoomi suppresses the urge to bite it off and lick up the blood. Sometimes he watches Atsumu sleep and wonders what it would be like to climb into Atsumu’s pocket and live there.
It’s a problem.
It’s a problem made thirty-seven times worse by the fact that Atsumu is fully and entirely obsessed with him back, which leads them into situations like Atsumu having a drawer in Kiyoomi’s bedroom and a shelf in Kiyoomi’s shower labelled ATSUMU because Atsumu can’t bear to leave his side for more than three minutes at best. It's terrible.
