Summary
Five years after the tragedy that killed her entire family, Jinx is now the adoptive daughter of Silco and is working for him. The events in her life have left her criminally insane, deranged, and highly emotional. Though these events have left her with pain and heartache, in her mind, it's nothing that a little destruction, chaos, and mayhem can't fix. As she is living her life as an outlandish criminal, everything changes the night when she is sent out to complete a task on Silo's orders. Her older sister Vi has come back from the dead. And she is not alone, an enforcer is with her as well. As betrayed as Jinx feels, she can't help but feel as if there is no one there to trust after being fed so many lies and delusions by the people she thought to have loved. To get away from it all and to find out answers, she sneaks away in the night and travels alone around the neighboring towns and cities to look for anything that's real, while also being on the run from enforcers, Silco's men, and Vi herself. Along the way, she meets a boy, Ronin. Ronin is all types of chaotic and unhinged as Jinx but masquerades it well. After agreeing to help her, the two journeys and Jinx will have to see if anyone can subdue the madness inside.
