Carol Aird was certainly Therese’s friend. They’d met when Therese first started working at the advertising agency about a year prior. Carol worked in analytics, while Therese worked in creative. Their teams would meet up a couple of times a month, at most, but the first time the meeting happened, Therese and Carol sort of…hit it off. Therese couldn’t really explain it, but they’d just clicked, and that same night, Carol invited Therese (and, nicely, Dannie) out for drinks with her friends. Therese had barely noticed anyone else was at the bar besides Carol.
Their timing, though, was never right.

Summary
Debbie's first Christmas after she gets out of prison was never going to be easy. They have a lot of traditions to feel out, and maybe it's time for some new ones too.
An advent calendar of prompts, loosely connected and in the canon-verse as opposed to my Stay-verse (though most probably fit in both tbh). Mostly focussed on Lou/Debbie, there will be other characters and pairings appearing. At some point I might even write some of the prompts for other pairings too. Please note chapter 10 was almost responsible for a rating change.
