Jason short-circuits for a beat, and then runs the words back. “What?”
Tim takes a deep breath, and it’s steady. “I’m going to die,” he repeats, “and I don’t want to be alone, so please stay on the line.”

Summary
Keigo's breath hitches in his throat when he sees the source of the crunching snow.
It's a tall, gaunt thing, with layers of chitinous, black plates wrapped around its torso, its neck, beneath its eyes and around its fingertips. Its mane is short and choppy, white like the snow around them, trailing down its bare back towards the small tuft of a tail—like a deer's, Keigo thinks.
Its eyes, all black, with no whites and no shine to them, like two perfect holes in its head, stare right into Keigo's soul when it raises its head, and its ears, long and tapered and pointed, twitch.
Keigo sets his hand on his knife, all ash wood and iron, and steps back.
It raises itself up on its haunches, thin and spindly with too many joints in its arms, an extra finger on each hand as it starts to charge towards him, and Keigo realizes all at once that he's screwed.
Keigo hunts faeries.

Dabi looks at Hawks batting his lashes, sitting on the couch in his hideous Gucci sweater. Christ, Dabi can’t stop looking at it. It’s a point of public safety that Hawks has a stylist for when he actually needs to leave the house. That sweater could cause car crashes. “I guarantee that won’t be an issue.”
Hawks needs to come out, Dabi needs to promote his debut album, and they make an awful mess of this fake relationship thing.

"What, is it another one?" Dabi asks. "That seems fast. I thought you said they were a once a year thing."
"They are," Hawks mumbles. "But uh, there's… a second part to them. Usually a few months after."
"Birdie," Dabi says, his patience clearly being strained. "Just spit it out."
Hawks clears his throat. "It's eggs. I… lay eggs. And I'm having trouble getting them out."
"Oh."
Hawks peeks up at Dabi. "'Oh?' That's it?"
Dabi has his hand placed over his mouth as he gives Hawks an appraising look. "You know, I had noticed you were putting on some weight lately, but I didn't wanna say anything and get banned from your nest."
Hawks smacks him with his wing. "I changed my mind. Get out of here. I don't want your help."
