You know that your family misses the old Asriel. That's as obvious as the sun in the sky. But the boy you were died long ago, and you can't feel anything now, no matter how hard everyone tries to heal you. Therapy can't fix a missing soul. You're going to make sure that everyone understands that eventually.
The reality, of course, is never what you expect.

Kris isn't Chara. Flowey isn't Asriel. Neither of them will ever fill the role the other's sibling left behind. Neither of them want to.
They need each other anyway.
they hesitate. you can see it in the way they almost lean back for a moment, wringing their hands and biting their lip.
ah, you think. here we go.
i want to know how much you remember, they say, about the other timelines.
An apology is made.
Five times Papyrus was Very Great (and the times he is still just as great, but needs a reminder) by The_Birds_And_Bees

Most days, Papyrus is very aware that he is very, very great.
But there are some days where...Papyrus does not feel very great at all. Which does not mean he is not great, he simply- does not feel so. Or perhaps he simply isn’t.
“Allow me to tell you…a story,” the thing wearing a child’s skin says. The words sound like they’ve been dragged through concrete, but its smile is a little less malicious and a little more hollow. That’s…maybe good?
“sure. i love stories. this one have a happy ending?”
It grimaces through that pinned-on smile. Its eyes are flat and dead.
“That remains to be seen,” it mutters. It shrugs its shoulders, squirms a little bit. Trying to get comfortable in skin that it doesn’t belong in.
“It’s a story about some kid who freed all the monsters,” it says. “They’re…they’re a…good…they’re…”
My take on a post-pacifist No Mercy run.
