  1. Summary

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.
-Philip Larkin, This Be The Verse

Or, Vermin’s insane Babies Ever After Kidfic AU Extravaganza, which is not quite as cynical as the poem it’s named for.

The primary points of AU canon divergence here are that the baby Changeling from “The Begotten” (S5E12) survived, Jadzia was not killed in "Tears of the Prophets" (S6E26), Bashir and Garak managed to resolve all those years of UST sometime in the later seasons, and all this resulted in (nearly) everyone’s canon endings getting scrambled.

  3. Summary

So, this started when I bought a waterproof notepad to stick on my shower wall, in order to jot down those sudden flashes of inspiration that are wont to strike when you are nowhere near a writing implement. My mother, who is a frequent houseguest, couldn't resist the urge to decorate it with DS9 related graffiti. I responded with DS9 fic, and a new and questionable mother-daughter tradition was born.

Note that there is no continuity in this series. They're all just one-shots united by the medium of shower notepad. Mom writes the prompts, I write the fic.

  4. Summary

Or, the misadventures of Crowley and Aziraphale IN SPACE.

I've decided to put these in order by Star Trek chronology, rather than the order they were written in. If you prefer it the other way, it would look like this:

    1. False Friends and False Prophets
    2. Do Aliens Go to Heaven?
    3. To Seek Out New Life and New Fermentations
    4. No, You're Spartacus

    Summary

SecUnit finds itself in charge of one of Dr. Mensah's children, and on the run. Luckily, it's good at its job. Unluckily, it has to hang out with a human adolescent. (It can handle the people trying to kill it. It's the babysitting thing that's terrifying.)

    Summary

I saw a post on tumblr suggesting a crossover where Murderbot meets Sam Vimes, and I couldn't not write it. Behold:

Murderbot, randomly pulled into the metropolis of Ankh-Morpork, must figure out how it got here, how to get home, and what the fuck is going on in general. Meanwhile, Sam Vimes of the city guard is hot on the trail of a suspicious-looking case at Unseen University—or at least he would be if he didn't have the baby at home to worry about...

I love TMB and Discworld so much, so I tried to make this as newbie-friendly as possible. If you're coming for the Discworld, the Murderbot stuff is supposed to be as understandable as possible, and if you don't know Discworld at all but love Murderbot, hopefully it still makes sense.

This is set after Exit Strategy but vaguely before Fugitive Telemetry; on the Discworld side, it's somewhere in between Night Watch and Going Postal.

    Summary

    And bots? I ask.

Your breathing hitches, an artifact of your human imitative code. What about them?

What do you imagine doing to them? You wrap an arm across your torso, a defensive gesture. I add, The answer will not disturb me.
