“Kageyama!” Shouyou chirps, patting – okay, smacking – Kageyama’s forearm repeatedly with overexcited fingers. “We should have that arm wrestle!”
“Huh?” Kageyama’s confused voice reverberates around the beer bottle that he’s still sipping from as he looks out of the corner of his eye at him, brows knitted in confusion.
“The arm wrestle! You know, like we said earlier?”
Something sparks in Kageyama’s eye. Revenge, probably. He bangs his bottle back down on the table. “You’re on.”

Then he heard a voice, and froze. For a moment he stood still, wondering if he was imagining it, that voice, when it spoke again, this time pronouncing a name.
“Hinata?”
He peeled his palms from his eyelids and slowly lifted his head, his eyes somehow, impossibly, rising to meet a pair of terribly familiar blue eyes.
“Kageyama?”

“Well too bad for you, you’re permanently orange, and everyone knows orange doesn’t go with red,” Kageyama spits back, irritated, and he makes a jab at Shouyou’s side where he knows that he’s ticklish. As Shouyou bends over with a surprised wheeze, Kageyama spins on his heel and strips the national jersey off and up over his head, leaving Shouyou to stare at his retreating bare back with mixed emotions.
Doesn’t go with red… Shouyou glances down at himself and tries to imagine his t-shirt as red as the jersey and all the things Kageyama had implied so simply, and feels heat rise to his cheeks so sharply in such an abrupt burst of embarrassed happiness that his face almost matches the national team's jersey perfectly.

They glanced at him from across the net. Shouyou arranged his face so that it wasn’t obvious that he was listening, but he could feel like he was failing at it.
“Oi. What are you up to?” Kageyama glanced at the Brazilian team, they were watching them like a hawk so Shouyou sent a wave their way. The Brazilian team waved back with hesitation.
“Eavesdropping.” He answered Kageyam with a grin. The opposing team was staring at Shouyou with uncertainty. It’s not like he was gonna bite! They didn’t need to act so cautious around him.
[For real? Is that Ninja Shouyou?] One of them exclaimed.
Shoyou laughed. [Yep! Ninja Shouyou in the flesh.] He said in Portuguese.
All of them turned to him with wide eyes.
