In a society accepting vampires as the highest echelon to aspire to, Bakugou, Shinsou, and Kaminari gained this esteemed rank in the prime of their lives, leaving all others behind.
Amazing what perspective the better part of a century can bring.
They’d let the only three who mattered slip through their fingers when they were human together, absolutely no trace to be found after that one crucial night. Izuku, Todoroki, and Kirishima had just fucking disappeared. And now seventy years later, what was the point, it was far too late to stake any claim of their own, there's no way they could still be alive.
Then again...
‘Cause that looked a lot like the only human he’d ever wanted walking through the club crowd not ten yards away, Shinsou considered with a grin, violet eyes gleaming for the first time in years. Young, beautiful…and soon to be his again, fucking bet an enemy’s life on it.

“So what happened this time?” Deku asked good-naturedly, watching Katsuki bite into Sero’s unprotected calf like a turkey leg. That reminded him – he was overdue for some dinner.
Several things happened at once.
After every set of eyes shifted his way - unnervingly in unison – the room went deathly silent for a long moment before Mina shrieked in delight from her vantage point atop a nearby desk, Katsuki’s face flamed bright red, and every other member of the Bakusquad erupted into something like hyena laughter, pointing shaky fingers in Deku’s direction.
Okay, rude.

In which a flustered Katsuki can't seem to keep his foot out of his mouth, accidentally insulting his lifelong crush Deku in the media because of it. Just when he was about to finally ask the nerd out, too. Stupid paparazzi.

“You seem a little distracted today, Bakubro,” Kirishima’s cheerful voice came from the side, successfully snapping the explosive blond hero’s attention back to the aftermath of the latest villain skirmish. What was with villains and attacking downtown? Did they have shopping to do before and after? “You only screamed ‘Die!!’ twice, one ‘I’ll kill you…’”
“Are you actually keeping track of my vocabulary, Miss Manners?” Bakugou shot in Kirishima’s direction, irritated that the hardening quirk user was correct. Here he was trying to work out a perfect date spot like any emotionally constipated man – of course the nerd would have to say yes first, but Bakugou intended to sit on the hero Deku until he did just that – and then some third-rate villain gangster wannabes had tried to rob a nearby store.
