Summary
Osamu looks away from where the professor struggles to plug in his laptop for the third week in a row, and his eyes land on the TA. The TA that he’s apparently going to have to get to know pretty well if he wants to pass this class. Fuck.
He knows the guy’s name is somewhere in the syllabus, but Osamu has had no reason to ever pick it up. Though, not knowing his name doesn’t mean Osamu hasn’t noticed him. Ever since syllabus day, he’s been a bit of a puzzle to Osamu. If he’s being completely honest, from the whispers around the lecture hall some days, he seems to be a bit of a mystery to most people.

Osamu needs help to pass this class, and who better to help him than the TA, otherwise known as Akaashi Keiji. College AU in which no one does professional volleyball, but Osamu and Akaashi are still chasing their dreams, and might just help each other achieve them.

Summary
Keiji refuses to call what he is doing now “sneaking out.” As new as being a part of the royal family is to him at the moment, he does know it comes with the perk of having close to free reign over the grounds. They are, in part, his now, after all.
Approximately an hour ago, he had presented his attendants with a soft, slightly simpering smile and beseeched them to excuse him, for he was going to take a walk around the gardens. They accepted his smile as generously as they had accepted all the others he had offered them since arriving. It was not an insubstantial number. He’d been smiling politely for hours. Days even. From the moment he first set foot in Inarizaki, probably.
His cheeks hurt.

Summary
Three and a half weeks ago, Keiji had begun a meticulous search for the perfect Christmas cake, one that would absolutely blow Osamu and his highly-developed chef’s taste-buds out of the water. The weight of their first Christmas together as a couple weighed on Keiji’s shoulders, but he refused to cave under the pressure.
Today, Keiji is met with icing that is inexplicably crunchy, a long list of No’s, taste-buds that have become desensitized to the taste of strawberries (taste-buds that, in all honesty, didn’t have the palate for this venture from the start), and four days until Christmas Eve with no stand-out prospects in sight.

Summary
He is sure he sounds too rushed and breathless when he says, “Thank you, Miya-san,” but he doesn’t have the capacity to worry about it at the moment. Sounds of more cheers from the stadium are still taking up a majority of his mind, urging him to go faster. He turns quickly on his heel, clenches his fist tighter around the handle of his food bag, and speeds away, tuning his mind once again to the game and only the game. He hears Bokuto’s name from the announcers once more and urges his feet faster. Every hasty step further from the Onigiri Miya stand feels like an accusation. But no, Keiji assures himself, he is not running away, he is just running really, really late.
