“So brave and strong for surviving? Oh, I was so, so worried. Good job for surviving so long without me,” Mu Qing says, rolling his eyes while drawling out the last sentence, words so saccharine they send chills creeping down his spine. “Good boy, Feng Xin.”
A strange, warm tingle spreads through Feng Xin's body, all the way to the tips of his fingers, as he feels his face flush.
The first realization that strikes his poor, poor heart: Mu Qing staring at him with his piercing, slightly mean gaze, saying nice things about him however sarcastic it may be, makes his heart burst and skin burn.

“We came here to break your curse but it’s not really working, is it? Fuck.” Feng Xin lets out a small laugh. He's still staring at the ceiling of the cave, squeezing Mu Qing's fingers. “Well, maybe – wait.”
Feng Xin flushes as their eyes lock. “I may have to kiss you.”
"The solution’s not that simple,” Mu Qing hisses. “I’m not even cursed anymore!”
Feng Xin shakes his head. "That’s just the curse lying. I’ll help you.”

“I…you…I just…” Feng Xin stumbles over his words pathetically.
Mu Qing rolls his eyes. “Just spit it out already, I don’t have time for this.”
“You’re hurt,” Feng Xin states, visibly nervous now that the words have been dragged from his throat.
“Congratulations, Feng Xin, your eyes work perfectly fine,” Mu Qing replies, his voice laced with venom.
Feng Xin must be doing this just to ridicule Mu Qing, to point out that he had been careless enough to allow himself to get hurt, even though Mu Qing is obviously aware of his own injury. How…how despicable!
Feng Xin looks almost pained. Mu Qing does not understand why.
or, for some incomprehensible reason Feng Xin cares about Mu Qing way more than he should.

Summary
After Heaven is rebuilt, Mu Qing starts collecting cats. This habit is very much encouraged by Feng Xin who also gives silly names to these cats. But after all the years, there's just too many of them, so Mu Qing plans a prank against his rival. He doesn't expect it to backfire.

Summary
The first time it happens, Bruce doesn’t do a great job at hiding his surprise. It was only a couple weeks after Tim’s adoption was officially finalized - hyphenated name and all. Bruce still smiles to himself at the memory of reading ‘Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne’ on those papers, trying not to choke up at his third son being the first to take the Wayne name. Of course that was never an expectation, but still, it meant something that Tim chose to take it.
With that considered, perhaps Bruce shouldn’t have been quite so shocked by the teen calling him ‘Dad’, but he is. And he’s even more startled to hear it declared loudly as Tim abruptly sprints towards him down the hall at full speed.
“Dad Test!”
Or
Tim starts a trend in the family of jumping at Bruce at random, increasingly difficult times shouting: 'Dad Test!' to see if he'll catch them. This leads to many shenanigans & then crash lands into angst because of course it does.
