Suddenly everything Hook said in the Underworld makes perfect sense and she's amazed at the range and depth of her denial. She clearly had the stellar ability to lie to herself for years on end. She prided herself for her skill to spot another person's lie from a mile away. Deemed it her 'superpower'. Yet here she was, drowning herself in falsities for the better part of a decade, unable to see the truth that was right in front of her. Perhaps denial and self-deception should be her superpowers. They were certainly better fitting. She must look like a complete lunatic, she thinks. But thankfully no one is around to witness her doubled over, half-crying, half-laughing as she understands the enormity of what she just did.
