After all their layers have been exposed, Myka and Helena both experience the change that comes with their new knowledge about themselves and each other. Helena-centric, Helena-POV. This is part 2 of a series; please read Strata first, otherwise this part won’t make sense.
This fic starts in a very dark mental place – but Helena does find her way out of it. Still, if that’s too much for you, I totally understand. Please be mindful of the overall content warning as well as any that precede individual chapters, and proceed at your own pace if you decide to read.
CW: description of depression, grief and numbness in the POV character that veers close to suicidal ideation at times.
- Part 2 of A Bering and Wells Road Trip Story
Honestly I love the "I didn't know where else to go" trope, and this morning I had an undeniable inspiration - I've teased vampire!Helena before, but this is a different vampire!Helena. Then again, can there ever be enough vampire!Helenas? No there can't, so here we go.
Please heed the content warnings and rating; this is far far more hurt (and gore) than it is comfort, even if it has a happy ending of sorts.

A week ago or so, I dreamed a very cinematic, very lovely Bering and Wells dream that was so vivid, so excellent, that I decided to make a story out of it. I had to change a few things around, but the basics - the skeleton, if you will, this being Halloween and all - is there. My dream had three scenes: the storm, the other ships saluting and Helena waving back, and meeting Sutton. And so does this fic! I hope you enjoy! Happy Halloween!
This is my contribution to this year's Bering and Wells Appreciation Week! Day One's prompt was "dancing", and I've always wanted to write something a little Ginger and Fred for them.
This takes place early in Helena's reinstatement.
There's art to go with this fic! What better style to go with the golden era of musical movies than Leyendecker's art, so that's what I commissioned - I hope you enjoy that too!

The counselor was still standing, or rather, heading towards a replicator. “Can I offer you anything?”
“Coffee, black,” Kathryn said automatically, then bit her tongue. She’d heard quite a few jokes about that in the past couple of weeks – no one on Voyager had joked about it anymore, not within her earshot anyway, but obviously folks back home did not know that.
The potentially-Betazoid counselor smiled and relayed the order, then ordered a slice of chocolate cake for herself. Her smile turned slightly apologetic. “I hope you don’t mind,” she said. “It’s been a while since lunch; I’m starving.”
Hooray! You've made a podfic! But now, how do you share it? Posting to tumblr, youtube, or a fandom-specific community are all decent options. But chances are, if the fic you recorded is from AO3, you'll reach the largest and most receptive audience by also posting to AO3.
The archive welcomes all types of fanwork, but is structured and built primarily for written works. Posting podfic can be confusing or complicated if you're unfamiliar with it. This guide will cover both the basic mechanics of posting podfic to AO3, as well as the typical conventions used by the podfic community to help your audio be found by people who want to listen.
