Summary
He had it. Everything Caleb has longed for since the moment he stumbled through the pine woods outside the sanatorium, sunlight burning his eyes and blood on shaking hands that barely felt like his own. That fairytale he told himself, again and again, every time he wanted to lie down and never get up again.
The chance to give his parents back the life he stole from them, control over his past, control over time itself.
Everything he wanted was within his grasp, and he let it go. He let it all go.

Summary
There's something in Caleb's dreams. It wants him to know that he's not alone. It wants him to know that he'll never be alone again.
Elves don't dream, so all Essek can do is watch.

Summary
Trent is in the long past, now. But echoes of his work still remain with Caleb.
(i.e. another fic about those goddamn crystals, i.e. an excuse to write about Caleb needing and receiving care of all kinds, from all the members of the Mighty Nein)

Summary
Whenever Caleb travels via familiar, he trusts the others to keep him safe. Mollymauk thinks the Mighty Nein take this responsibility too lightly. He’s right.
He knelt in front of the vulnerable wizard. It gave him satisfaction that the human fit neatly between his knees. If he’d wanted to make this short, he could have snapped the man's neck. Instead, he breathed. Something, the warmth or the smell, reached beyond the fey veil. The man stirred and gave a very slow blink, as one in the midst of a dream. His chin tipped up, gazing at the enemy looming over him with unseeing eyes, and in a soft, accented voice that Talisman remembered from the square, he asked, "Fjord?"
An actual sigh of pleasure slipped from his lips. It was too perfect. "No, my dear." He lifted two fingers, and in a voice of Power, he touched the man's temple. "Lock."
