Summary
After a disastrous world championship last year, the league has mandated that all participating alphas must take a supplemental suppressant. The suppressant thrasidone acetate, infamously known as Alpha Thrash, is a harsh chemical blocker that suppresses extreme alpha aggression, pheromone strength, and mating cycles.
Two years after their marriage, Shane and Ilya are selected for Team Canada in the world championships, with Shane as captain. While Shane's only omega stipulation is industrial grade scent blockers, Ilya has to take the mandated Alpha Thrash. There is a very slight possibility of a drug interaction with his antidepressants, but it is so rare that the risk is deemed minimal. Besides, Ilya has taken Thrash before. It will be fine. Probably.
Or; Ilya has a rare drug interaction that causes a paradoxical side effect; the suppressant causes his suppressants to fail. He goes into rut at 35,000 feet. Trapped in a flying tin can of vomiting hockey players. Shane balances being an omega captain with being an omega husband with an audience of hockey royalty.

Summary
Shane has learned that Rozanov played in the KHL up until signing with the Centaurs. His departure from his previous team seemed to end on anything but friendly terms. He has a reputation. There’s stories about fights in the locker room, authority issues, and he’s apparently a notorious party boy, a womanizer, some new omega on his arm in every photo online.

Ilya is a recent transfer to the team, and takes an immediate liking to Shane. Having built walls around himself and his designation, will Shane be able to open up to him and let the alpha in?

Tears sprang to his eyes, and he buried his face in Shane's neck to hide them, kissing him and whispering how much he loved him as Shane whined and begged and whimpered for something he couldn’t give him. It lasted for hours, no matter how hard Ilya fucked him or how many times he used the knotting toy. Shane was delirious, could not seem to comprehend that Ilya was a Beta, no matter how many times he reminded him, apologized to him, begged him with his eyes to please stop. When Shane finally passed out, Ilya sat up staring at the wall for hours.
He’d finally figured it out, the one thing he could never give Shane, no matter how much he tried. There was no substitute, no toy that could compare. Ilya was lacking, and Shane knew it now, would come to his senses and realize Ilya couldn’t give him what he really needed. For the first time since his childhood, Ilya thought about dying. Not killing himself, never that, but maybe somehow going to sleep and not waking up.

Summary
I didn’t expect the first story to turn into a series, so after Ilya’s POV of Vegas, IT IS NO LONGER CANON COMPLIANT.
I put the timeline on shuffle and let my fingers dance on the keyboard. But I’m really proud of it, so I hope you all like it!!
