Thanks to a nosy former foster brother, Tony knows what’s in written in his DCS file - Anthony Stark, aged 7, recent placements terminated in best interest of child in care, documented history of neglect, permanency plan undetermined, reunification plan pending case developments. Even better: parent A deceased, parent B incarcerated.
Bouncing from home to home has been the defining factor of Tony’s life for the last four years. The future will undoubtedly be a cycle of lather, rinse, repeat, until the day he gets dumped on the street at 18, no longer anyone’s problem except his own. He’s long since accepted this reality.
When his social worker drops him off at the doorstep of the Barnes-Rogers household, she seems to think this time will be different. Tony’s not convinced.
