Summary
Peter wakes in a hole in the ground of a house. Next to him is a man of approximately his age, eyes burning Alpha red, who smells exactly like his 15-year-old nephew. They seem to be in a house that smells like burnt wood and ashes which looks oddly like his childhood home. A young girl with fiery hair and terrified eyes cowers in the corner of the room while looking at him like he is going to gut her. There’s also a mirror reflecting the light of the moon on him above him.
‘Ah, the worm moon ritual, that means I must have died then…’
He gets out of the obvious makeshift grave, then crouches down to the young man’s level.
“Can you stand? I realize that the ritual takes its toll on energy, but since you went through the trouble of resurrecting me, I would like to know who you are, and why you smell like my nephew?”

Rusalka!Stiles is captured by an illicit supernatural trafficking ring that is taken down by FBI!Derek and crew. They discover Stiles (after dismantling an active warehouse filled with trafficking victims) in a separate room, isolated in a tank and refusing to leave. They quickly discover why; Stiles is guarding a clutch of fertilized amphibious eggs, and won’t be going anywhere without them.Title is in Polish, meaning [ little froggie ] in a white room. The section outside of the brackets is a line from the poem ‘In Praise of the Mutilated World’ by Adam Zagajewski.

Summary
1920s prohibition “mafia” AU where Stiles is a detective who is also moonlighting as the owner of the biggest speakeasy in Los Angeles, connected to the underground tunnels bootleggers use. The speakeasy is a neutral zone, smack dab in the middle of two large mob family territories; the Argents and the Hales. One day when one of the Argents makes a move, Stiles starts to discover that they might not just be simple mobsters; they’re hunters. And the Hales, and the supernatural city inhabitants they have vowed to protect, are their main target.
