Summary
In the world of Remnant, everyone is born with a soulmate. As a person grows they get a sense of their soulmate and what kind of person they are. Through a bond between them, particularly strong feelings make their way through, and for better or worst two people find themselves connected in a way that transcends all other connections. However, just because this bond is felt, does not mean you always find the person on the other side. In a world as populous as Remnant, it can be difficult if not impossible to find your true love, but that will never stop those who inhabit it from trying.

Weiss Schnee and Ilia Amitola, recently engaged, visit Ilia's family in Wisconsin for the holidays. Despite Weiss' long relationship with Ilia, she's yet to meet her surprisingly large adoptive family. With a warm welcome and a vastly different family experience than Weiss is used to, she goes from struggling to fit in to feeling like there's no other place she'd rather call home.

Emerald Sustrai, having passed her college entrance exams with flying colors, finds herself interested in a girl she met while waiting on their scores. Planning a coffee date, Emerald unexpectedly has to introduce Penny Polendina to her parents, Dr. Bartholomew Oobleck and Hazel Rainart, who each analyze the girl in terms of suitability for their adopted daughter. After a short interview, the co-parents let the girls head off into what may be the first of many dates.

With their newly acquired licenses and a brief moment of peace with council elections coming up, Ironwood has sent out invitations for a special event to honor the hard work and effort being put forth by all those staying at Atlas. To students, guests, and soldiers alike he extends the offer to attend a formal ball to have some R&R in these times of tension. As members of Team RWBY and the rest of their group pair off, everyone is given some time to relax and contemplate what got them there, as well as what's to come next. This story takes place approximately around the time of episodes 4/5 of Volume 7.

Summary
A series of stories following Blake and Yang through the years at various moments in times where certain talks need to be had.
The first tells the story of their separation at the end of Volume 3. Where Yang expresses her wish for Blake to stay with them and not to blame herself for the injury sustained by Yang. Unfortunately this isn't possible, and Blake heads off on her own. The two get some lectures from the adults, as well as time to talk with one another, before Blake leaves.
The second part tells of the team coming back together. Yang and Blake have much to discuss after Blake left Yang after spending the night with her, but in the end their primary focus is that they're back together and both alive. This takes place immediately after Volume 5.
The third is a story in the middle of Volume 6, where emotions that ran high during the encounter with the Apathy result in a great deal of drama between members of the team, on top of news delivered by Jinn.
The fourth takes place shortly after the third, where after all the chaos of their lives Blake and Yang find themselves able to spend some time doing more normal activities, such as being surprised with a double date.
