It is rare for Yae to sound like this, especially when there always seems to be laughter or a smile on her face, and she speaks slowly, as if she’s talking to a wounded animal. “But you won’t like it.”
“It’s better than sitting around and waiting for my death,” Sara grumbles. Sitting for too long is making her antsy and cranky, and being around Yae is intensifying those feelings. “Just tell me what needs to be done.”
“We could fuck it out of your system,” suggests Yae, giving up on playing nice with Sara and opting for the blunt route.
Or: Sara gets hurt on a mission, and her energy gets infected with miasma. They fuck it out.
