Summary
Essay on the difficulties of queer representation: the ways in which the understandable push for clear-cut, textual queer representation sometimes reinforces a bright line between "sex/romance" and "something else," and invisibilizes more liminal relationships that more accurately reflect my own queer experience. (Addendum clarifies why the original post was written through a queer lens when simplifying that boundary hurts straight people too.)
