Summary

Summary
Aside from the Tidesages, magic among humans was rare in Kul Tiras. It was rare in most of the world, really. Sure there were a few mages in Dalaran, but they were given their magic by the elves. It was completely unheard of for a human child to be born with magic, until Jaina Proudmoore was born, that is. She quickly became a target as the only remaining heir to the Kul Tiran Admiralty. After three attempts on Jaina's life, Daelin and Katherine Proudmoore have taken Jaina to Quel'Thalas in an attempt to negotiate with the High Elves. The terms? Jaina stays in Silvermoon until she can take care of herself and Kul Tiras will aid Silvermoon in an impending war against the Amani/Zandalari.
Ranger Captain Sylvanas Windrunner just wanted to train her troops, move up the ranks, and take care of HER forest and figure out where all the druids have been disappearing to. Even the dark rangers seem to be behaving themselves.

Summary
Mere weeks have passed since Arthas Menethil set sail for Northrend, racing towards the Frozen Throne. Beset by the Scourge and the rising Scarlet Crusade and with far too few resources, the Dark Lady grows increasingly desperate. She would ally with almost anyone if it would give her people a chance. The sudden arrival of two unlikely visitors inadvertently leads her to consider a small city state across the sea, reputedly ruled by an archmage with a certain history with a certain prince.
A story mainly revolving around Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmoore and the Dark Rangers. Several other characters and their relationships make an appearance from time to time.
And commentary and constructive criticism is allowed and encouraged, if I need to spell that out. Doesn't matter how big or small, deep or shallow. Keysmash or spam emojis at your heart's desire if you find it as hard as I do to think of what to say :)

The weight of it almost broke her, sending her spiraling, shattering her to tiny black pieces as she felt Enid’s dead fingers around her neck in every nightmare, and she threw herself into the investigation of Lois, of Willow Hill, anything to prevent it from happening. In the end, she messed up again. Made everything worse, just like her mother told her she would. Couldn’t even keep Enid safe.
Wednesday is traumatised, plagued by nightmares and flashbacks, her guilt and mistakes weighing her down like a pile of rocks thrown into water to make a corpse sink to the bottom. She hurts herself as punishment.
It’s a shame she forgot about Enid’s keen sense of smell.

Enid suspects that her girlfriend self-harms. The thought breaks her heart, but Wednesday admits nothing. She feels lost and asks advice from her closest friends. Now everyone is worried.

“—mate,” Wednesday finished, the word a soft, possessive hiss. She reached out with her free hand, her fingers tracing the line of Enid’s jaw with a touch that was surprisingly gentle. “He may have captured my likeness, Enid. But you are the one who holds the copyright to my existence.”
The air crackled with tension. Enid leaned into her touch, her voice barely a whisper. “Is that your way of saying you like me?”
Wednesday’s lips twitched. “It is my way of saying that if anyone else were to give me a portrait, I would use it as kindling for a ritual bonfire. Your possession of it, however, is… logical.”
