Erik just got that need to give Charles everything. It wasn't a basic return arrangement for what Charles gave him. Erik wanted to make the man feel good and take more and more of those unholy sounds he was making. He wanted to be a part of a bigger thing, push the events further, spend a night with that godly pretty man. Erik wanted to kiss his lips all night long, make it swollen and redder if it was even possible. He wanted to touch the man, explore his body. He wanted to discover the carnal pleasures. Discover it all over again with a man.
However, he wasn't sure he would be able to break from the blocking him mindset.

Summary
It was domestic–it felt all so woefully domestic: him and Erik. How they were, together. Always together now. After all the years spent apart fighting, it felt only natural to fall back into those same patterns, but here they were together, despite everything. Maybe it was because of everything, but Charles failed to linger on the thought long. He was much too pleased with how Erik was holding him now.

“Absolutely not, Magnus. I haven’t the faintest how this could be Emma’s idea of a gift.” Well, that wasn’t the complete truth. He did have a faint impression that this was a sort of… teasing gesture. “Perhaps she seeks to undermine me in front of the Council.”
