Summary
“Mr Stark, I’m afraid I need to apply for an internal transfer.”
He is, Pepper can tell, shocked. She’s been with him for seven years and he considers her a permanent fixture at this point. He asks if she’s resigning and offers her a pay-rise.
“Some deaths in my family mean I’m moving to New York.”
He looks at her, sunglasses removed from his face, oil grease on his hands and cheek. For a wild naive crazy second she thinks he’s going to say, ‘Then I’ll move there too. Let’s all go to New York, Miss Potts!’ but he just spreads his hands and shrugs his shoulders.
or;
It’s 2006 and Pepper Potts and Mary Parker have been best friends for 15 years when Pepper gets a phone call causing her to drop everything and go to New York.

Summary
Personally, it wouldn’t surprise her if Poseidon had blessed Percy, and Sally and Estelle too, for that matter, with the skill of creating perfectly-tasting incontrovertibly-coloured azure food and liked to watch Annabeth and Paul struggle.
Fortunately she only does this once a year. The taste is never the important thing.
Annabeth and traditions.

“Okay, but what are the rules?”
Ravi stares. “The rules for…?”
“Casual sex.”
Ravi continues to stare. It is 5:39 in the morning.
Buck keeps talking, unprompted. “I can’t just go back to Buck 1.0. Bobby will not give me a third chance if I steal the ladder truck again.”
“You don’t need to steal the ladder truck to have casual sex.”
Buck huffs, as if Ravi is intentionally missing the point. “Well, yeah, but who knows what Buck 1.0.2 would be capable of.”
Ravi shakes his head. “I really need the software updates to stop.”
or, an au where buck broke up with taylor before 5b, ravi and buck become (actually platonic) friends with benefits, and ravi, eddie, and buck all go on a journey of self-discovery that ends with them all getting what they need

Summary
Eddie grins, the kind of Eddie smile that says 'you’re both annoying but also I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.' He seems – when you first meet him – to be someone with only a few expressions. Smug. Stoic. Manly smile. Etcetera. But once you know him, you realise there’s a whole dictionary of expressions. His open-mouthed smile when something crazy, but funny is happening to someone else on a call. His 'you guys are being ridiculous head tilt', and the smirking set of his lips. The twinkle in his eyes when he talks about how Christopher’s doing in school. The serious set of his jaw when he knows he’s heading into a difficult rescue. Buck likes learning them, like a secret little victory of their friendship.

The L.A. relationships (both platonic and romantic) that lead Buck to realising and admitting feelings for his best friend...

Summary
Romance is a lot easier to write about than it is to put into practice, and Eddie is the world’s most ridiculous living example of that. He can practically hear the kind of jokes that Shannon would make about it, if he ever told her about the books but - he didn’t. And somehow, probably just because he didn’t start writing until after they weren’t living together anymore, she never found out.
There’s actually only a handful of people in the world who know that Eddie is a writer - and more specifically, that he’s E. Diaz, one of the bestselling romance authors on the market.
or - the one where everything in canon is the same, except eddie diaz is secretly a bestselling romance author, and nobody knows. Yet.

Summary
“Most babies are born as accidents,” She says suddenly, like she’s decided that Buck has passed, that she can trust him with this.
Buck doesn’t really have an answer because that question hits way to fucking close to home. A year or so ago he would have said, yes, I was an accident, so I know how that goes, but Buck knows better now. Knows that he would almost give anything for that answer to still be yes. Evie’s finger works under the seal to rip it open, a stack of important looking papers dumping out onto the table in front of her.
“Not me,” she says without looking up as she organizes them into a neat stack, “I was engineered.”
And.
And Buck’s pretty fucking sure a giant, cataclysmic hole has ripped right open, dragging him down to the earth’s core where he vaporizes into dust.
{or Buck meets another savior baby and everything comes crashing down}
