Summary
For a huge fundraising event, Class 2-A decides to host a haunted house as their contribution. Because none of them knows how to chill, they hold an internal contest, with the students splitting into two main teams and a prop department. Midoriya himself is super excited to use his Quirk for actual fun and entertainment, except that some have brought up that his array of powers and ghosts would make it unfair for the opponent.
“How about this?” Midoriya bargains, slightly miffed. “I don’t need One For All to strike fear. I'll do it Quirkless.”
Or,
Kind, compassionate Midoriya shouldn’t be able to fucking terrify anyone without his eldritch-like powers, but non-believers who’ve faced literal war hell find out that he does. He does.

Summary
What if Snape had agreed to become the Head of Slytherin House, not because Dumbledore wanted him to, but because he wanted to save Slytherin? What if he used his cunning to reform the house right under Dumbledore's nose?
He could save some of the Slytherins from the mistakes he made. He could find the ones who wanted to walk away and help them. And if he created in them a house loyalty deeper than their loyalty to Voldemort, the ones who wouldn’t walk away might be able to save each other in the end. The first step was to keep them from becoming willing slaves while here at Hogwarts.
Severus knew from his own years here that Slytherins were happiest when they were plotting. The problem was that Hogwarts wasn’t structured to give them drama, so they had had to create it. If he could keep them busy with other things, they might learn how to focus their energy. The House Cup had long since lost its allure as it was biased, so he would have to create other challenges for them. After all these bitter years, he had nothing kind left in him, but in the end, the choice was easy. He did it for her. Because it was something she would want him to do if she still lived.

Summary
Harry Potter and Ron Weasley have known each other since they were toddlers. Their mothers, Molly Weasley and Lily Potter arranged playdates and sat drinking sweet tea as their children fought to the death for control of the playground swings. Then they sent them off to school together, in matching sweaters and backpacks, with tradeable snacks of Lily's homemade applesauce and Molly's corned beef sandwiches. They both fussed when they entered highschool and took pictures of their dates to their first school dance. They worried together about when their sons would start to drive. They planned their future grandchildren and how their two families would always grow together.
Harry and Ron first kissed in the eighth grade, and their mothers did not plan on that.
Or, more briefly, Ron and Harry don't actually know how to fall in love, but they're trying their hardest.

Tells her that if the numbers and the shapes and images in her mind hurt so bad then she should build them, should give them form so that they can finally leave her alone.
Jarvis is the one who finally teaches her how to breathe.
Or
Toni Stark grows up with the tale of Icarus swirling in the back of her mind. Instead of taking it as a precautionary tale about hubris and overreaching she decides it's more about the limitations of wax.
Years later when she builds herself wings of her own she makes sure to build them out of better material.
