Summary
SPR is taking a well-deserved break at a ryokan and onsen when they're pulled into the art auction next door to examine a "cursed" painting depicting the area's infamous vengeful spirit. They learn about her, how she was defeated, and how the town uses her for tourism. None of that information is helpful, though, when an obsessed staff member loses control and sets off a violent, bloody plan to free the chained spirit so she can come back to life. A plan that needs a Buddhist monk... [Written for Whumptober 2021 w/whumping focused on Houshou]
