Summary
Alt season 4. Alt AU retelling with Billy taking Max's place, sort of.
After the events of Starcourt mall with the Flayer, Steph vowed to never be helpless again. 3 years later she returns to Hawkins as a police officer, to protect and serve. But Hawkins is apparently cursed, and after Steph witnesses the unexplained death of one Chrissy Cunningham, she's swept up in the Upside Down again to save those she cares about. And maybe even some she didn't think she did.
***Steph slid her gun back into her holster on the second try, fingers nerveless as they slipped to the radio receiver clipped to her shirt. Her other hand held onto Billy’s outstretched arm, nails digging small crescent indents into his skin. She swallowed, her throat aching and dry. Static hissed at her.
“H...Hop. Chief. We got…we got a problem.”

Alt season 3, canon divergent. Possessed Fem!Steve instead of Heather, with a healthy dollop of Billy/Fem!Steve because...reasons. Basically a What If! type of fic.
“He is definitely possessed!” Dustin was squawking as Steph tuned back into the babbling behind her. “He asked Steph on a date!”
“Hey!” Steph snapped, stung. “Why is that so weird? I am very dateable!”

Summary
Arthur don’t talk about it, but the O’Driscolls did more than beat him.
Arthur has to come to terms with the darkness inside him since the O'Driscolls took him hostage. Recovering from the trauma is one thing, but Arthur is then thrust into a world he had never thought existed, and has to find his place in it, if there even is a place for him. But his old life still calls him home, and Arthur may have to choose between a new life and the old and deal with the consequences.
Playing loosely with timelines, Arthur never got TB but something else instead. Got captured by O'Driscolls earlier in the story and he wasn't just beaten. Rape/non con at start and the trauma and recovery that then needs throughout the rest of the story. Supernatural elements, monsters and darkness oh my! But also Romance. Because Arthur deserves some love dammit. Arthur/ OC

Cue overprotective and jealous Travis. And shouldn’t the officer get a birthday kiss?
An unlikely start for a badass werewolf fighting duo, but a hot one.
