It’s a little past noon, and Sakura is stretching her worn-out muscles as she watches her teammates spar. Kakashi-sensei had limited them to kicks only, which neither of them seem to really excel at using, so it’s a battle of much hopping and flailing. It’s amusing, but she dare not laugh; it’s not like she’s any better.
Sakura has only officially been on Team 7 for five days and has figured out pretty quickly that her teammates are on an entirely different level than her.

Sakura is twelve when she queues up in front a desk with a bunch of other equally-terrified looking shinobi. The ages range from younger than her to old enough to be her grandpa.
The man sitting at the desk is stony-faced as he doles out assignments. Sakura obediently shuffles forward when it is her turn, and recites her shinobi identification number in a shaky voice when asked.
When the provost marshal looks at her, looks down at his paper, looks back at her, and grimaces, Sakura knows it’s not going to be good.

Summary
As a way to cheer up her depressed sensei, a young Sakura writes him a (non-pervy) Icha Icha spin off. The gag quickly turns into a bonding activity between the two, one that progresses into adulthood for her. With Kakashi as her beta reader, she begins to pour her own experiences into the pages which have long stopped resembling the colourful series.
Only Kakashi reads about her darkest fears and secrets fictionalised, so only he sees the real Sakura, where everyone else is blind…
