Summary
There was a time when Evan Hansen jumped.
There was also a time he visited the same spot months later in the same mindset.
It could all have been over in a flash.
Instead, he realized that he is stronger than he knew. -

Summary
They decide to keep cleaning out Connor’s room the week before Christmas. Why her mom chose that timing, Zoe has no idea. Maybe because Christmas without him feels off, messy and hollow and awkward. Maybe because now, unlike the past few months, they're facing what he left behind without Evan's lies there to ease the pain.

Summary
It's startling, isn't it, how quickly everything falls to pieces? A carefully constructed house of cards stacked and curated like lies, a picture-perfect dollhouse of a life with the plastic smiles to match, the word love in its truest, sharpest form - isn't it unsettling how with one sentence, one explosion, they're all blown to shards and shrapnel?
Breathing is always harder in the aftermath, with the dust settling and revealing a world left, otherwise, unchanged.

What if, just maybe, Evan decided he didn't deserve to be found?
Or - an alternate, very sad ending to the show, written in script format because that's how I imagined it.

Summary
The glaring white of the document is casting a sickly glare onto his face. It had nearly blinded him earlier when he first opened his laptop, his eyes taking well over a minute to adjust to the new source of light. He’s still had yet to adjust to the words on the page, however.
Dear Evan Hansen, it turns out that today wasn’t an amazing day after all.
He’s probably read this over at least twenty times, now.

Summary
"Dear Evan Hansen,
Everything went wrong. Everything went so wrong. Because I can't do anything right, but we already knew that so I don't know why anyone was surprised.
And I'm back here now. Writing a suicide note to myself. MY suicide note this time. "
----------------
After "Words Fail" Evan goes home and decides to make everything right. After all, he can't do any more damage once he's dead, right?
Just his note, no story as of yet.

Summary
Graves felt synonymous with a creepy movie, or deceased relatives you’d never really met but your parents went to see, or someone who’d lived a long, fulfilling life and been put to rest.
‘Grave’ did not feel right when talking about where her barely-a-year-older brother was and would remain.

Alana had just wanted to help.
She always did.
When Evan sent her Connor’s suicide note, she had seen it as an opportunity. After all, the Connor Project was about knowing that you’re not alone, right?
--
Zoe goes to Alana's house after finding out about Evan's lie (post-Words Fail).
Alana deals with having posted Connor's note online.
Tears are shed, hugs are given, and I'm gay for these two.
