(Flufftober no. 10: pillow fight)
- Part 10 of Fictober 2021
Vienna was hoping to retire from this lifestyle. This job, though...
It would be enough, surely. One last job, and she and Jex would never want for anything ever again.
(set immediately before the events of the "Master!" anthology. All you really need to know: Vienna got hired to assassinate The Master.)

‘A new assignment crystal has arrived, Miss Salvatori.’
‘Yeah? Bring it up, computer.’
‘Ten million credits are being offered for proof of the assassination of Captain Jack Harkness, wanted for the corruption of the son of a business tycoon on Callisto.’
‘Corruption? Show him to me.’
‘Hmm. Pretty boy, can’t say I blame the son… hold on, computer, is that a vortex manipulator?’
‘That is correct. My records indicate that Captain Jack Harkness is the name used by a former time agent. His current affiliation is unknown.’
‘Huh. I’ll accept the contract. Not many people manage to leave the Time Agency, he might just be interesting.’
‘Certainly, Miss Salvatori. Setting coordinates now.’

It was an ordinary contract. Some rich guy had his reputation ruined by some other rich guy, and was willing to pay good money to send his newfound enemy shuffling off this mortal coil.
And so, Vienna Salvatori accepts the bounty that has been placed on Dorian Gray. He’s an upper-class party boy, by the looks of things. Money means he can pay for good security, but he might not even bother. It definitely won’t be anything that Vienna Salvatori, impossibly glamorous bounty hunter, won’t be able to handle. Easy money, really.
