Being also the story of how Dr Gu uncovers tombs, crimes, truths, and her own bad-a**ery. Or the events which led to her seminal article about TuLuanJi.
Being still 5 to 10% research about an actual dynasty (guess which one to win… the other murder cat?), and 95% fudging.
Deeply apologetic about the fudging.Please apply suspension of (dis)belief, and forgive my many crimes of English, Chinese and cultural understanding.

Being also a paper by Gu et al. about the transition from the Northern to the Southern “Lan” dynasty.
