    In the meanwhile D’Artagnan, finally reaching his role of lieutenant, is ready to marry Constance, but obstacles lay ahead and is in dire need of a helping hand.

    Count Alexander, D’Artagnan’s godfather, scared by young Charles' plans for the future, has a plan on his own, and is seeking the help of a trustworthy soldier to have his godson change his mind.
