Summary
Hawthorn Connelly was born into the Maenads- a cult dedicated to the worship of the Greek God of Wine, Dionysus. Everyone around them believes their father, and the father of all of their half-siblings, to actually be Dionysus himself, but Hawthorn is not convinced. After a tragic accident leaves them the only survivor out of their siblings, Hawthorn moves to America to pursue their career as a pharmacology researcher, and tries to forget their father for good. They are successful, until he shows up out of the blue one evening, trying to mend their relationship. Hawthorn tries to reject him, but unlocks powers that lay dormant inside them, and their views on magic and the gods are changed forever.
This is backstory for my character in an upcoming Scion game I'm participating in.

One has to wonder, is Corypheus the real threat? Or are the foreign Gods who will retain their power at any cost? How are they going to change Thedas? How is Thedas going to change them? Where does Solas fit into this exactly? How does he fit into this? Will he survive to meet his goals?

In a world where all myths are true, and the Gods of every culture walk the Earth, the Kami of Japan have a problem; Amaterasu's son, Masayoshi Shido, is an objectively terrible person who would burn the planet if it would mean him ruling over the ash - and the decree of Fate is that he will one day be Emperor of the World. But things that could be called Gods slither in the darkness between stars. To attract their attention is to be at the mercy of beings who do not even comprehend the concept of Destiny, let alone obey it - and to their human followers, that is a message of hope, for a world without Fate is a world of utter, terrifying Freedom. More importantly for the Kami - should the Old Ones find prophets and sire offspring, they too can ignore Fate - including the prophecy that says that Shido will be ruler over all the world. It's quite easy to steal Treasure from Palaces made of dreams when you are Lords of the Dreamlands, after all...

Kay is a homicidal daughter of the Aztec god Tlaloc, closed off to the world and bent only on survival. Araelis is a level-headed psychiatrist, and the daughter of the Morrigan, one of the Irish Tuatha Dé Danann. Along with Jasper, a Scion of Thoth, they work to maintain the supernatural balance in El Paso, Texas. And then Araelis catches FEELINGS.
I originally started this because I shipped the characters and wanted to write porn of them, so be aware that definitely will happen. But first there's lots of slow burn and angst and gay panic. More tags to be added as more is written. I'm a native Brit - please do tell me if I'm fucking up describing American culture because mostly I'm relying on TV here.
