"You're one to talk." Sully scoffed lowly. "You left the kid alone, for two weeks, living off the streets of Cartagena-"

Pebbles dug in between his feathers, scraping against his skin. Dirt matted the usual snowy white of his down, and bruises were already beginning to discolor his flesh. His glasses lay on the ground next to his knee, the lenses shattered and the frames twisted. His hat was nowhere to be seen— likely having been lost sometime in the battle.
His head began to swim as a sharp stab of pain pierced his head. He was pretty sure he had a concussion, and a bad one at that. His head fell back against the ground, and the last thing he saw before all his senses went out at once were the faint clouds splashed against the purple-red sky.
