While his father is out of the city (doing something really important, but not important to this story) Damian patrols the city. All of the worst of the worst of Batman's Rogue gallery is in Arkham at this time, but that doesn't mean the dangers are gone. While most of the bigger heroes of Gotham are gone right now, the two current Batgirls, 18yo Stephanie Brown, and 22yo Cassandra Cain are still in the city. It's their job to watch after Damian and keep him out of trouble, but Damian's a wildcard and on the third night of patrol he goes out on his own in a suit he's not supposed to be using yet...

The first time you two met in that jewelry store, the next day when you both found out your secret identities. When he was there for you even when you did nothing but push him away, the explosive fights usually from his jealousy that would always end up with him profusely apologizing and giving you flowers. Staring at the stars and drinking milkshakes on the nights when you were helping instead of running. Nothing hurt you more than remembering the last thing you ever said to him, yelling that you were tired of him and didn’t want to see him again. Ouch. You never got the chance to apologize. Summary
In the aftermath of the Riddler’s “cleansing” of Gotham city, the Batman works tirelessly to keep crime in check and assist the civilian population. An exhausted Bruce Wayne turns his efforts towards humanitarian relief for his city.
Things can never be quiet, however – a series of bodies start showing up in various locations in the Narrows, Gotham’s bottom of the barrel district. The masked crusader and Lieutenant James Gordon unite their efforts to catch the killer while also struggling with a corrupt police force. The case reveals complex ties to Gotham’s sex trade and reinforces the unfortunate truth that in Gotham trust is inadvisable.
A new tragedy strikes Gotham just as the situation is starting to look better – a terrible accident at the travelling Haly’s Circus leaves nine-year-old Richard Grayson orphaned. Suspecting sabotage, the boy goes looking for answers and runs into the mysterious Batman, also on the same track. Things get complicated when Bruce Wayne accepts Dick into his home, but there is a front of healing for all parties involved.
Time runs on and heals all wounds. Despite everything that might happen, the sun always comes back up. Stay put and feel the sunrise on your skin.
