Peter Boardman and Joe Tasker were two of Britain' finest climbers. They died together in an attempt on Everest"s unclimbed North-East ridge in 1982: The Boardman Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature was established in their memory.I should mention that most of the material in this story comes from recorded conversation or other people's writing.
