Decepticon Rodiclash AU. A Galaxy brain concept from Cao the dreamer.
Early in the war, Hot Rod joins the Decepticons, angry that the Autobots provided precious little assistance to evacuate the citizens of Nyon when Hot Rod burned his own city to ashes to prevent Zeta from using the citizens as fuel for the Functionist war machine.
Confounded by the strict formality within the ranks of the Decepticon army, Hot Rod is fiercely determined to preserve as much Nyonian culture as he can. When an Autobot saves his life during an intense battle, Hot Rod vows to uphold the Nyonian life-bond tradition to save his life in return.
If only the big colorful idiot wasn’t making it so damned difficult!
“He pulled me from the rubble like I needed a big fat hero to save me. Like I can’t take care of myself. If the Autbots couldn’t be bothered to help Nyon before, I sure as hell don’t want their help now,” Hot Rod spat bitterly. “He just saved my life without even asking first.”“Non-consensual life saving. Summary
Cybertron is the laughingstock of the galaxy, and one more bad Council decision away from collapsing into ruin. Orion Pax and his gladiator acquaintance Megatronus have come to the High Council with pleas to do something more for the mecha of Cybertron than "free" handouts. After being designated the next Prime by the Matrix of Leadership, Orion allies with his close friend Senator Shockwave and daringly vows to pursue less conventional methods of bringing peace and prosperity to the slowly sinking ship that is their beloved home planet.
Meanwhile, A-013 must navigate her damaged social life and internal crises after being rejected in the new Prime’s search for a worthy consort.
(A no-war AU that serves to satisfy my hunger for both OpLita and tackling difficult subjects.)

Making amends with the creator of Unicron, Optimus/Orion was able to put an end to the massive planet-eating god for the rest of the Cybertronian race along with others to peacefully reside on Earth, marking an end of his story. Or is it?

Summary
Rewrite of Fighting for Nothing.
An attack on Sam and Carly leaves Carly dead and Sam changed. No one quite understands it, but if Sam has learned one thing in his life, it is that the Allspark is almost always to blame for shitty things happening to him. Sam has to deal with the grief of losing not only his fiancée but also his humanity, as the Autobots suddenly find they are not quite as welcome on Earth as previously believed. Yet, the Earth still needs the Autobots, and they will come to find this out the hard way.
The Autobots just might not be ready to fight for Earth anymore. And Sam cannot blame them. Not now that he is one.
