There's nothing that says the faeries are Irish-style sidhe, so the air/fire/water/earth understandings of magical ability don't necessarily apply. I think they might be doing something East Asian?? Anyone getting a kind of cyberpunky feel even though it's definitely a Western monster-of-the-week show?

Podfic of Barometric Pressure by PetrichorIllusions
Author's Summary:
“So she gets it, that what’s the point feeling. That why bother feeling. What’s the point in trying to save the monsters if they’re going to die anyway? What’s the point in getting a real job if it’s not going to last? What’s the point in befriending the maybe-werewolf park rangers if that friendship has a time limit? Why try and make friends on your university courses when at best it’ll last the few months of the semester?”
Thoughts from Kate, set through and immediately after Episode 4.

Summary

TW: There is a mildly dubcon kiss (as a result of the characters both being anxious nerds who aren't good at communicating) but the character who initiates it realizes their mistake and apologizes for it.

Summary
Jodi and Garrett are the badass park rangers-slash-monster wranglers responsible for keeping human-paranormal conflict to a minimum. Song Zichen and Xiao Xingchen are Daoist priests and cultivators who have cultivated to immortality and somehow made their way over to British Columbia. When people start getting killed by something obviously supernatural the two pairs run into each other.
