    Le Chevalier de Grieux is broken up from the loss of Manon, his love. After seeing Manon's past lover Monsieur de Brétigny, after him the first time, and before him the last, they decide to fulfill de Grieux's dream of living in a white house in the countryside. They bond, realizing that although Manon was truly beautiful and witty, she also manipulated them to gamble and waste money, which was what killed her in the end.
