They met in a small white room with one table, two chairs, two sheets of paper, and a recorder.
“This is awkward,” was the first thing Jake said when they were left alone. They came here as a part of a psychological study, a replicated one about interpersonal closeness that tried to make people fall in love with a stranger. His partner raised his eyebrow and chuckled, nodding at him as a greeting.
“Nice to meet you too.” The man winked. “It’s Ryan. Ryan Reynolds.”
