Summary
How can one find love when his heart has been caroused in hate, mud, fervent ramblings, torn memories of a thousand gut-wrenching bloody scenes of fire, gore, victory and defeat, of a mere provocation by mind and by instinct? How does one find peace without the cost of something being lost in the conscious never-ceasing imaginative mind of some loner who fights the throes of death at every interval, at every corner, at every gesture that doom vomits against him?
He could, but by all odds, it is impossible to answer this complex question simply by thought. Yet, in a hypothetical case, generally not derived by mysticisms, could one find peace in a world which had never been thought of at all since the dawn of mankind? The answer becomes clear one way or the other as time passes on by.
In the late years of World War One, by a superb string of events, a German Stormtrooper is sent to a foreign world where mysticisms and the impossible occur frequently. Being so out of touch with any sociability, reintegration back into society seems unlikely, especially if the inhabitants of this world are full of 'animals' that are sentient, walk on two legs and are more humanoid...
