Summary
Like most things in Fatin's life now, the idea comes to her in therapy.
Therapy that's helping unpack the weeks of it from that goddamn island. And there’s a lot. Of trauma.
Even without the island, even without the events that brought her there.
Go figure.
or: it takes help from Fatin's therapist, a truly extravagant New Year's Eve party, a fake relationship, and just enough alcohol to make her realize maybe what's she's known all along: she's in love with Leah Rilke.

“At least the job sounds super glamorous, right?”
It takes a moment before Fatin works out that Leah’s joking, and slowly, Fatin smiles. “Oh, obviously,” Fatin quips. She uncrosses her arms, sits up straighter, angling her body toward Leah. “Who doesn’t love finding ugly shirts for middle-aged women and getting bitched at about expired coupons?”
Or, Leah has a huge crush on Fatin and seizes the opportunity to get to know her when they end up at the same crappy summer job

Summary
Leah Rilke is a romantic. She believed in it all: everlasting love, kindred spirits and soulmates. Especially soulmates.
She just wasn’t expecting Fatin Jadmani to be that to her.
A soulmate au in which Leah and fatin are soulmates, the island never happened and the girls are too stubborn for their own good.

Summary
Leah isn’t stupid — she knows that other people talk about her, content to gossip under the impression that she wouldn’t be able to know who they’re talking about or what they’re saying. She supposes that, perhaps, in their position, she would do the same, but that doesn’t mean that they are right, doesn’t mean that she isn’t aware of their words or their gaze or their judgements. Leah might be deaf but living on the island meant that she had to be able to lip read to at least some extent.

Summary
“Come on. It’s Fatin. She’s not exactly all girl power and all that shit… she’d sell you out for a nickel.” He whispered, and Leah sat up straight at that. She knew he was messing around, they used to joke about stuff like this all the time… but the reality of who Fatin was, getting to know her this summer… They couldn’t have been more wrong.

Summary
He wasn’t quite sure how to proceed with this new Leah — it felt a little like trying to ride a bicycle for the first time after you take the stabilisers off: the movement and muscle memory is all there, but the fear of failing has never been quite so sharp.
He nodded back and turned back to his book. If Leah wanted silence, he could do that. He would do whatever she needed — he just wanted to see his friend smiling again. There was only really one person who did that consistently these days.

Summary
And as much as she reminds herself that she chooses not to get tight with girls for very good reasons, she can’t help but to feel like maybe Leah could be a decent friend. Just, like, an in-school friend. Someone Fatin can talk to during chemistry or in the halls if they pass each other. Maybe at school functions. Except Fatin has to acknowledge that she swallows down disappointment when the final bell rings and Leah’s not seated at their lab table.
Or, Fatin accidentally catches feelings for a friend she shouldn't have made in the first place.

Summary
After her therapist suggests that she return to her hometown over Christmas to make amends with her past, Leah Rilke stays with her high school friend Dot and her roommate Fatin who turns out to be freshly sent from hell to torture Leah's last will to live.
She couldn't have predicted the snowstorm.
She also couldn't have predicted that her -previously assumed- straight self would want to kiss the hell out of her.

Summary
Ian hears of a party happening this weekend from Taz Nguyen as they’re walking to class and tells Leah during their shared lunch break, sitting on a table in the quad. It’s something she’s been doing all semester, all of high school really, but there’s a weird sense of deja vu that hits Leah when Fatin, on the other side of the quad, walks by surrounded by a flock of people.
After a year, after the island, the bunker, some things stay the same: Fatin doesn’t even look at her.
or: after the island, Fatin retreats back to her old ways and Leah tries to help

Summary
The Ark space station kept the remaining members of the human race alive for 97 years following the nuclear apocalypse that destroyed civilization on Earth. But when mysterious events deplete the Ark of oxygen needed to sustain the population, the Council decides that the only solution is to secretly send a dropship full of 100 youth prisoners to Earth in order to conserve resources and to see if the planet is survivable. What the Council isn't prepared for is the dropship splitting in half, separated by gender, landing thousands of miles away from each other. Among the 50 female delinquents are Clarke, the bright teenage daughter of the Ark's chief medical officer; Rachel and Nora, twin daughters of a Council Member; Earth skills expert and drug dealer Dot; promiscuous vandal Fatin, daughter of the Ark's Chancellor; agriculture aficionado Martha and her adoptive electrical engineer sister Toni; optimistic medical assistant Shelby; illegal child Octavia; and paranoid conspiracy theorist Leah. Will the delinquents & Ark's leaders - Chancellor Ahmad Jadmani & Council Members Abby Griffin, Rana Jadmani, Angela Reid, Marcus Kane, and Gretchen Klein - make the right decisions to preserve the human race?
