Gyro Gearloose likes routine. He likes knowing what to expect. He likes going to the same coffee shop, the same restaurants, doing the same things each week. And he doesn't believe in romance. He DEFINITELY doesn't believe in Love at First Sight or any of the other silly cliches. That was all for other people. People without a past like his. Besides, he was happy for the first time in years. His son, however, thinks he needs a girlfriend. The problem, Boyd says one morning, is that Gyro never goes anywhere or does anything to meet anyone new. So he makes a bet with his Dad that by the time he has 1,000 cups of coffee, he'll meet someone and fall in love. Gyro, of course, thinks the bet is ridiculous but agrees, just to make his son happy. Because love doesn't happen like that. Love isn't instant. You can't just put a time line on these things. Can you?

Summary
It’s been nearly four weeks since the Mad Ducktor finally escaped the Supercell. Fenton and Gyro haven’t heard anything from him until one night, while out taking a break from inventing, Gyro disappears. The Mad Ducktor appears at the lab the next morning, and Fenton is hit with the biggest betrayal he’s ever known.
But none of them know that this is simply just the first betrayal of many. That a hard line will be drawn in the sand, but almost no one will know where they stand. However, the ones who do know their place will go to extreme measures to eliminate those on the opposing side.
