Tears prick Michael’s eyes; all the horrible things Michael has ever done that have been trapped inside his head now claw at the backs of his eyes, desperate to get out. "...Bad things like me?" Michael whispers before he can stop himself.

Summary
On a dreary evening in March, whilst driving home from a shift at the Pottery Barn, Evan Hansen had been involved in a car accident.
He hadn't expected to survive the crash, the other car had been going much too fast for that, but he also hadn't expected to climb from his crumpled car afterwards and leave his body behind in the driver's seat.
He'd been silently stood beside his ruined vehicle, numbly watching the chaos he's inadvertently caused when he'd noticed a familiar presence behind him, their silhouette dark against the soft grey-blue of the early evening sky. He hadn't need to look to know who was there.
“Am I dead?” he'd asked quietly, his eyes still fixed on his body. “Is that why I'm here?" He'd paused, frowned, turned to find Connor watching him with a bored expression. "Is that why you’re here?”

Summary
Evan fucking Hansen was dead.
Suddenly Connor was all too aware of the note sitting at the bottom of his backpack. He should have thrown that thing out as soon as he snatched it. He dumped out his backpack all over the floor. The letter was sitting in a crumpled heap on top of the pile of overdue assignments and old books.
He took the paper and unfolded it. He read it. Then he read it again. He didn't know how much time passed or how many times he'd re-read it before finally sitting it down onto his lap. By now, he didn't think he could forget what was written if he tried.
_____________________Through the death of a student, Connor suddenly gets thrown right in the middle of the life of a kid he hardly knew. Along the way, he learns a lot about himself, and that maybe he and Evan weren't different as he thought.

Summary
Evan Hansen is dead. He's almost certain of it.
Well, certain because things changed after he died. And if for the better or good, well, he wasn't exactly sure.
It was like the universe wiped away all his mistakes. Him lying to the Murphy's, The Connor Project, all of it.
Especially Connor dying. Somehow, he lived, and Evan died.

Summary
Connor should've been the one to kill himself in the middle of the night, at least that was his plan. After seeing Evan, the guy he called out earlier that day for writing a letter about Connor's sisters, kill himself, Connor's life takes an unexpected turn.
Especially when he starts seeing Evan, even when he's not high.
[Or: if Evan committed suicide instead of Connor]
[This story contains drug abuse, suicide, cursing and all that jazz. If you are sensitive for that kind of stuff, this is your warning]
