Summary
Charles and Erik broke up three months ago, and now they’re both trying to move on. It would be easier if Erik would actually move to Genosha and if Charles stopped trying to help, but neither of them is any better at letting go than they are at compromise.
Besides, Erik suspects he doesn’t know everything about their break up, and the only way to find out is by getting Charles to open up.
Are you ever willing to admit you need help?" Erik furrowed his brow, mouth pressed into a thin line as he stared at Charles. He sensed concern rising up beneath his fondness, barely concerned and heady, as though it had been there from the start. He stiffened and straightened up his spine, meeting Erik's gaze with a pointed one of his own.
Charles might allow Erik to coddle him in bed, to treat him like some kind precious gift, but not outside of it. Charles Xavier spent his entire childhood making himself exceedingly competent, exceptional, and he could not bear for Erik of all people to see him as anything less.

Summary
Child actor and emerging teen pop star Travis Gibson's powers malfunction on stage. The students of Xaviar School for the Gifted Massachusetts Campus manage to get to him before Mutant Detention Services. He insists on remaining locked up as punishment for the death he caused. Head Teacher Emma Forst agrees so long as he agrees so long as he practices his powers every day and every day he'll talk to one of the students and listen to them.
As the students try to convince the boy to come out of his self-imposed imprisonment by relating to him, they begin talking about things they normally don't open up about.
This significantly deviates from the canon of Generation X as characters that got done dirty get a bit of a rewrite. You can imagine this coming from a reboot of the premise like a TV show or cartoon show would be. It is also written as a "Bottle Episode" meaning that it intentionally takes place in one location, it is almost entirely conversations between the guest star and one main actor at a time and special effects are kept to a minimum.

It was raining, and somehow, in the midst of the worst night of his life, Charles couldn't help but think that it was poetic justice. He'd given up trying to find a place to duck under until the rain stopped, and instead was leaning up against a lamppost, shifting his weight when a sudden, sharp jolt of pain radiated through his side.
“Great,” he muttered to himself, pulling up the thin sheer of his shirt to get a better look at the deep purple bruise that was forming across his ribs. The trick had hit him hard enough that a couple of those ribs were probably broken, and that was really the last thing he needed because he didn't have enough money for the rent, let alone a trip to the clinic for some x-rays.
