Summary
Lucifer was an angel once.
That’s what Nursey thinks, the first time he sees William Poindexter.
Because the boy is beautiful even though he shouldn’t be. Even though he’s doubtless the kind of person who would punch you in the face if you said the words “you” and “beautiful” to him in the same sentence.
His skin is choked with freckles. It’s potentially more freckle than skin. Not just his face, where his nose and cheekbones are so hyper-pigmented they look tanned, but his collarbones and forearms and knuckles. The close-shaved dark ginger stubble of his hair should make his ears look too big or his mouth too wide but instead it accentuates the long curve of his throat, the cup of velvet skin between the tendons in the back of his neck.
“You’re the new defenseman?” Nursey asks. “William Poindexter?”
And the boy turns around and considers him with what might be contempt but what might just be the way his face looks and says, “Yeah?” like its a challenge.
And Nursey thinks:
Oh no.

Summary
"I get my hair cut once a month." The admission leaves Dex's mouth before he has time to think twice, and the regret is instant when both Nursey and Shitty gasp dramatically at it. He knows they're teasing in the 'good way', but it still makes his stomach twist like every reminder that he does things in ways no one else seems to do.
"There's no way your hair grows fast enough to warrant a trim every month, brah."
Nursey's not totally wrong, but Dex has learned through years of experience that he can't go more than 36 days between haircuts before his hair grows just long enough to tickle his ears and neck constantly. The sensation is so overwhelming to him even as he grew up that the summer he sprained his ankle in junior high he'd ended up taking his father's shaver and buzzing his entire head when he couldn't walk the five blocks to the barber.
~ Or a series of vignettes about Dex's life on the autism spectrum from childhood to college.

Summary
“You don’t have to take care of me, Will.”
“That’s not what I’m—”
“It is,” Nursey interrupts gently.
Dex takes care of him in so many ways that Nursey can’t even name them all. Not only with coffee and cleaning and handy work, he just cares. He wants to know how Nursey is, checks in on him; there’s a touch of love behind it all that makes Nursey delirious and hopeful if he thinks about it for too long.
Dex blinks a few times before his eyebrows pull together in thought. “What if I like taking care of you?”

Summary
Uh, welcome. I don't write smut. But this fic does involve dicks out, experimenting college freshmen, discussions of porn, and the set-up for what could be a very smutty epilogue. I probably won't write it but you consider yourself a good writer of smut, feel free to write that epilogue 😘
Dex walks in on Nursey and Chowder with their dicks out. Then the aftermath.

Summary
“Why is this here,” Dex says, completely flat and unamused, so that it comes out, not like a question, but like the start of a lengthy scolding before a fine.
Chowder glances up at the offending object, and then quickly back down at his homework. He shrugs a shoulder.
Dex remains unamused. “Christmas was over a week ago.”
“And yet its traditions live on.”

Summary
It’s been five months since Dex has seen Nursey in person, the longest they’ve been apart since graduating Samwell three-and-a-half years ago. They’ve stayed in touch – texting on a regular basis, virtually watching movies together every other week, and Frog FaceTime calls at least once a month – but they haven’t been in the same room since the summer. He’d deny it if asked, but he’s had a countdown app going on his phone ever since he invited Nursey to spend the weekend in Maine.
Or, Nursey and Dex spend a winter weekend at a lakeside cabin in Maine.

Summary
Dex runs his finger along the framed black and white wedding photo on the fireplace mantle in Jack and Bitty’s brand new house. They’ve only been here for a few months; they haven’t even had a housewarming party yet. When Dex asked Bitty a couple weeks ago if he was sure he wanted to do their holiday baking here, though, Bitty had waved him off.
“What better way to christen my beautiful new kitchen than with one of my favorite winter traditions?”
Or, Bitty and Dex's holiday baking: A story told through five Decembers across twelve years.

The bell over the door jingles and Will almost drops the plate he’s clearing when he glances up to see who’s just arrived.

Summary
Dex knew very little about his new next door neighbor. It had been nearly two months since he’d moved in and Dex couldn’t be sure he'd even seen him. Dex was around when he moved in, had even gone over to introduce himself but ended up being introduced to some guy who called himself “Shitty” and offered Dex a beer and a convoluted explanation as to why the new homeowner wasn't actually around on move-in day. From what Dex could gather he had some kind of artsy job that he had to travel a lot for.
But for as forthcoming as his neighbor’s friend had been, Dex had learned almost nothing else about his mysterious neighbor in the months since.
It annoyed him.
