Summary
Bruce Wayne, priest by day and violent vigilante by night, catches an unhinged and armed criminal and is frozen by the man's haunted face. He follows the man in secret and finds him living in no place suitable for any life- the rubble of a long gone burnt down orphanage Bruce's father made- surrounded by near lifeless people on the floor. Bruce is quickly knocked out. The man, Edward Nashton, is living in what Bruce knows to be a cult, the leader- 'The Penguin'- keeping his victims drugged and gullible. Bruce has seen too much and is held captive by this troubled man, yet Bruce can't help but want to save Edward from this "life" he seems to lead. Who is this man, who hurt him, and why dear God does Bruce feel so compelled to save him?
