Leo thinks of what it would be like if he could wake up and come down to the living room to see David sprawled on the couch, to eat meals with David and make fun of how food gets on that ridiculous beard he insists on growing. He likes the idea a little too much.

“Yes,” Leo says slowly. “Of course I know that.” He knows all of their matches by heart: the ones they’ve played since pre-season and the ones they’re going to play all the way until the end of the season.
“Well?” Gerard demands.
“Well what?” Leo, really bewildered now, asks. “Do you know something I don’t? Is the match going to be postponed or something?”
“Villa’s the manager of Valencia!” Gerard bursts out, sounding like he’s been holding back the sentence for the whole time.
