In this sequel to "Whatever Happened to Captain Rex?", Cody and Rex return to Coruscant with the thousands of troopers they rescued from a Separatist prison. But, Rex was presumed dead and Cody is considered AWOL. Taking the bold initiative to save their brothers is not received well by some in the upper echelons of the GAR hierarchy. Rex and Cody clash with the powers-that-be and both discover it is not as easy to blindly follow orders. They've each had a taste of independence and they want more for themselves and their clone brothers. A medical mystery with Echo leads them deep into unchartered territory and threatens to unravel the very fabric of the Republic itself.
