In this story, which takes place during the recording of series 14, Alex feels hurt because Greg can't remember the kiss they shared at a birthday party. Alex's mood plummets so dramatically that he ends up stepping down from the show indefinitely. Will Greg ever persuade his friend to come back? Will the show survive? And will Greg finally admit that he wants to kiss Alex as more than just an experiment?

The year is 2019, and life has been quite dull for you since graduating from university back in 2011. You used to do stand up comedy at uni but you’ve been putting off pursuing it as a career. One night your best mates decide to encourage you to try a comedy mic night for the first time in years and it is then you stumble across your old friend Rhys James again. That’s when your life gets turned around as you dive into the world of the comedy circuit and become close with famous comedians. In the midst of it all, you end up meeting a particularly distinctive red headed fellow who could become the very thing that brings meaning to your life again.
A/N: Had to update the timeline of this story for it to make sense to when Rhys James went to uni because otherwise the reader would not have met him there! Whoopsie.

This is my first Mitchell/Mack slash fanfic which I never thought I'd have the confidence to do. A moment from Series 15 Episode 7 of WILTY was my inspiration - the moment was too good to waste. This is where Lee blushes massively at Rob's comment, and David loves watching Lee get embarassed.
